1Article 69 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 should be amended to simplify the fee structure of the scientific panel. 2If Member States call upon the panel’s expertise, the fees they may be required to pay to the experts should be equivalent to the remuneration the Commission is obliged to pay in similar circumstances.
